It's been a long time since last I wrote anything on this blog. There are several reasons for that and a bunch of news/updates to catch everyone up on. The best way to do this is to start at the beginning and work our way to the present. Let's begin.
The last bit of major news that we revealed here was that full production on Kit and the Mystical Forest had started. That was way back in October or November of last year. Much's changed since then. Let's unpack. First, around December/January, production stopped because of snow. We got snowed out. I don't know if you remember, but our recording studio used to be a car in a quiet parking lot. It snowed a lot last winter, and we couldn't record anymore. It sucked. So, in February/March, we decided to build a simple in-home recording booth: Cerexia Amashiteru! Yeah, that's right: Cerexia Amashiteru. We like to give things big pretentious names round here. Anyway, that took some time to do. It's not perfect, but it's a helluva lot better than the car studio. The main benefit being 24/7 access while retaining the same audio quality.
Next, we—A Misanthropes' Lecture (or AML for short)—decided to pool our resources together and start a Patreon! Check it out here: https://www.patreon.com/Station_AML! We're going to do this full-time for the next year; unless it's successful, then we'll keep going. Or very unsuccessful, then we'll go back to our day jobs. But, whatever, the next 365—THIS! What does AML do? We make Kit and the Mystical Forest: An Audio Drama, and depending on how successful this is, possibly other audio and/or video projects.
